[ PROCLAMATION NO. 300, December 22, 1951 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, DECEMBER 24, 1951, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, Christmas this year falls on Tuesday, December 25, 1951; and

WHEREAS, the twenty-third day of December, 1951, is Sunday, and the twenty-fourth day (Monday) may be declared a special holiday in order to allow the people to enjoy an uninterrupted Christmas holiday which this year the nation well deserves without prejudice to the public interests;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby proclaim Monday, December twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and fifty-one, as a special public holiday.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 22nd day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-one, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the sixth.
