RULES AND REGULATIONS IMPLEMENTING R.A. 9344 OR THE JUVENILE JUSTICE AND WELFARE ACT

In the meantime that the implementing rules and regulations of R.A. 9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act have not yet been promulgated, Administrative Circular No. 115-2006, dated August 10, 2006 was issued providing the interim Guidelines on the Transitory Provisions of the aforesaid Act.

Pursuant to Sec. 69 of R.A. 9344, the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council had issued Council Resolution No. 4 dated August 15, 2006 entitled "Rules and Regulations Implementing R.A. 9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006."

The Rules took effect on September 19, 2006, having been published in the September 4, 2006 issue of the Philippine Star.

Considering the foregoing, OCA Circular No. 115-2006 dated August 10, 2006 is revoked by the said Rules, copy of which is attached for your information and guidance.
