SUBJECT: SUSPENSION OF ATTY. RICHARD JOSEPH C. DORIA FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO (2) YEARS
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 10 April 2018 of the Court En Banc in Administrative Case No. 11183, entitled "Patricia B. Custodio v. Atty. Richard Joseph C. Doria," to wit:
WHEREFORE, Atty. Richard Joseph C. Doria is hereby SUSPENDED from the practice of law for two (2) years. He is STERNLY WARNED that a repetition of the same or similar acts shall be dealt with more severely. He is also DIRECTED to return to complainant the amount of P125,000.00 within ninety (90) days from the finality of this Resolution. Finally, respondent is DIRECTED to report to this Court the date of his receipt of this Resolution to enable this Court to determine when his suspension shall take effect.
Let a copy of this Resolution be attached to respondent's personal record with the Office of the Bar Confidant and copies be furnished to all chapters of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and to all courts of the land.
