SUBJECT: SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. BASILIO C. ALMAZAN, JR.

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the First Division dated 12 March 2012, in Administrative Case No. 7485, entitled "Teodolfo N. Lasconia vs. Atty. Basilio C. Almazan, Jr.," to wit:

"The Court further resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the recommendations of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in the Notice of Resolution No. XIX- 2011-407 dated 26 June 2011. Accordingly, Atty. Basilio C. Almazan, Jr. is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for six (6) months for gross negligence and for representing conflicting interest effective upon notice hereof."

in a Resolution dated 4 March 2013, the Court further DENIED with FINALITY the respondent's motion for reconsideration thereof as no substantial matter were raised to warrant its reconsideration.
