CL-2023-___ To : All BSP-Supervised Financial Institutions (BSFIs) Subject : Cancellation of the BSP Registration of Cosmic Money Exchange (CMX) The Monetary Board, in its Resolution No. 276.A dated 02 March 2023, approved the cancellation of the BSP Registration of Cosmic Money Exchange (CMX) as a money service business (MSB) to operate as a Money Changer/Foreign Exchange Dealer (MC/FXD), pursuant to Section 901-N of the Manual of Regulations for Non-Bank Financial Institutions (MORNBFI). This is in view of the serious violations and non-compliance with Republic Act No. 9160 or the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001 (AMLA), as amended, and its 2018 Implementing Rules and Regulations, Section 601-N, in relation to Part Nine of the MORNBFI-Q Regulations, and its Deed of Undertaking as a money service business.
