ALL JUDGES AND CLERKS OF COURT OF THE SELECTED FIRST AND SECOND LEVEL COURTS IN ISABELA, PALAWAN AND SURIGAO DEL SUR

SUBJECT:

DIRECTED ACCESS OF THE NGOS' PROJECT RESEARCHERS TO THE COURT RECORDS ON ENVIRONMENTAL CASES

The Tanggol Kalikasan (TK), Environmental Legal Assistance Center (ELAC), and Paglilingkod Batas Pangkapatiran Foundation (PBPF), all non-governmental organizations, are currently implementing the project entitled "Enhancing the Capability of Communities for Environmental Law Enforcement" in Luzon, Palawan, and Mindanao, respectively, funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

In connection therewith, the TK, ELAC, and PBPF have deputized their respective project researchers whose main task" is to gather data regarding the number'of environmental cases filed-,thc kinds of violations (laws violated), the parties involved, the date and place of commission of offenses, and the status of said cases.

Henceforth, all concerned trial courts (please see Annex "A") are hereby DIRECTED to allow the abovementioned TK. ELAC. and PBPF project researchers to have direct access to the environmental case records under, their respective area of adjudicative jurisdiction.
