Sir :

This has reference to the attached letter of the Security Council Committee Chairman, Mr. Colin Keating, to the Philippine Mission to the UN regarding the decision of the Committee to introduce a revised Notification and Authorization Request Form to Export Goods to Iraq.

The revised form replaces the existing Authorization Request Form with immediate effect and needs only to be certified by the submitting mission. Moreover, it does not require any covering letter or note before submission to the Committee.

It would be appreciated if you could bring the revised request form to the attention of shippers and exporters for their guidance.

Very Truly yours,

For the Secretary of Foreign Affairs:

NELSON D. LAVINA Assistant Secretary
