AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF THE JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT, DIVISION CHAIRPERSONS OF THE COURT OF APPEALS, JUSTICES OF THE SANDIGANBAYAN AND THE COURT OF TAX APPEALS, SELECTED OFFICIALS OF THE SUPREME COURT, OFFICIALS AND PROFESSORS OF THE PHILIPPINE JUDICIAL ACADEMY, SELECTED EXECUTIVE, VICE-EXECUTIVE AND ACTING EXECUTIVE JUDGES, AND PRESIDING JUDGES OF THE REGIONAL TRIAL COURTS, METROPOLITAN TRIAL COURTS, MUNICIPAL TRIAL COURTS IN CITIES AND SHARI'A COURTS AT THE NATIONAL FORUM ON LIBERTY AND PROSPERITY

The Supreme Court will hold a National Forum on Liberty and Prosperity on August 24 to 25, 2006 at the Manila Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila, with the theme "Liberty and Prosperity- Goals of Judicial Reform."

The Forum aims to create awareness among the members of the judiciary as well as different sectors of the government and society of the various approaches to "Liberty and Prosperity," identify the strengths and weaknesses of those approaches, relate them to the inderlying theories of society, law, justice and human rights, and opose specific measures that may be taken in respect of the various approaches.

In view of the foregoing, the following justices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan and Court of Tax Appeals, Supreme Court officials, PHILJA officials and professors, and selected executive judges and presiding judges of the Regional Trial Courts, Metropolitan Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts in Cities and Shari'a Courts are authorized to attend the above activity:
