CREATING AN AD HOC COMMITTEE FOR THE CENTENARY OF CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTO CONCEPCION

In its Resolution of 18 February 2003 in A.M. No. 03-2-04-SC (Re: Centenary of Chief Justice Roberto Concepcion on 17 June 2003), the Court En Bane resolved to approve the creation of an Ad Hoc Committee for the Centenary of Chief Justice Roberto Concepcion on 17 June 2003 and authorize Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr., Associate Justice Josue N. Bellosillo, and Associate Justice Reynato S. Puno to create the committee pursuant to the authority vested in them in the Resolution of the Court En Bane of 18 January 2000 in A.M. No. 99-12-08-SC.

Accordingly, an Ad Hoc Committee for the Centenary of Chief Justice Roberto Concepcion is hereby formally created and organized, to be composed of the following:

Co-Chairman: Hon. Justice Florenz D. Regalado (ret.)

Members: Hon. Justice Antonio T. Carpio

Hon. Justice Abraham F. Sarmiento (ret.) President, SC Retired Justices Association

Atty. Luzviminda D. Puno Clerk of Court

Atty. Ismael G. Khan, Jr. Assistant Court Administrator and Chief, Public Information Office

Atty. Ivan John E. Uy Chief, Management Information Systems Office

Atty. Eden T. Candelaria Deputy Clerk of Court and Chief Administrative Officer

The Chairman may designate the Secretary of the Committee.

The Committee shall prepare (1) a program of activities for the meaningful celebration of the centenary of the birth of retired Chief Justice Roberto Concepcion and (2) a budget which may be necessary for the implementation of the activities, both to be submitted to the Court En Bane on or before 31 March 2003.

The officers and members of the Committee and its secretary shall be entitled to the expense allowance prescribed in Administrative Circular No. 13-99 dated 30 September 1999.

This Circular shall take effect upon its issuance.
