SUBJECT: LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. RICARDO R. AMORES
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 11 July 2018 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 9055, entitled "Spouses John Paul and Julie Kiener v. Atty. Ricardo R. Amores," to wit:
Acting on the complainants' motion for partial reconsideration of the Resolution dated December 14, 2017 which held respondent in contempt of court and imposed upon him an additional penalty in the form of fine in the amount of P5,000.00 for his failure to immediately obey the order of his suspension from the practice of law as mandated in the Resolution dated June 8, 2016, with prayer that the Court issue a resolution imposing a higher penalty against respondent, and considering that no substantial matter has been raised therein to warrant a modification of this Court's resolution, the Court resolves to DENY reconsideration with FINALITY.
The Court further resolves:
(1) to NOTE the compliance/manifestation dated March 15, 2018 of respondent Atty. Ricardo R. Amores, informing the Court that he has already paid the fine of P5,000.00, in compliance with the Resolution dated December 14, 2017, as evidenced by the attached machine copy of Certification issued by the Cash Collection and Disbursement Division acknowledging receipt of his payment of court fine under O.R. No. 0203778-SC-EP;
(2) to LIFT the order of suspension imposed on respondent Atty. Ricardo R. Amores; and
(3) to ALLOW Atty. Ricardo R. Amores to RESUME his practice of law effective immediately.
The Report and Recommendation dated April 24, 2018 of the Office of the Bar Confidant is NOTED.
