SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. JAIME B. LUMASAG, JR.
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of the Second Division dated 16 April 2009, in Administrative Case No. 5195 entitled, "Nelia Pasumbal De Chavez, et al. vs. Atty. Jaime B. Lumasag, Jr.", to wit:
"WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, respondent Atty. Jaime Lumasag, Jr. is SUSPENDED from the practice If law for a period of SIX (6) MONTHS, effective immediately, with a warning that a repetition of the same or a similar act will he dealt with more severely. Further, respondent is ordered to deliver to complainant the amount of P240.000.00 plus legal interest rate of 6% per annum computed from March 1990"
Respondent received the said Decision per Registry Return Receipt No. 44359.
