Subject: Reporting Templates of the Revised Risk-Based Capital Adequacy Framework
To implement Circular No. 688 dated 26 May 2010 on the Revised Risk-Based Capital Adequacy Framework for stand-alone thrift banks (TBs), rural banks (RBs) and cooperative banks (Coop Banks), attached are the revised Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) Report Forms to be used by the covered banks.
The CAR Reports are available in two versions: the Simplified Version and the Comprehensive Version . The Simplified Version shall be available for RBs and Coop Banks which are allowed to use the Simplified Financial Reporting Package (FRP) under Circular No. 644 dated 10 February 2009, i.e., RBs and Coop Banks that have no (i) Foreign Currency Deposit Unit (FCDU) authority, (ii) derivatives transactions, and (iii) financial allied subsidiaries. The Comprehensive Version shall be used by all other covered TBs, RBs and Coop Banks. The CAR Reports shall be submitted quarterly within 15 banking days and 30 banking days after end of reference quarter for solo basis and consolidated basis, respectively. Such reports shall be classified as Category A-2 reports.
Banks shall submit both the existing and the revised CAR Reports for the quarters ending 31 December 2010 up to 31 December 2011 during the pilot runs of the revised framework.
