TO : ALL FIRST AND SECOND LEVEL COURTS

SUBJECT: POLICY TO ENTERTAIN LETTERS ROGATORY ONLY WHEN COURSED THROUGH THE PROPER DIPLOMATIC CHANNELS

The Honorable Court, En Banc, in its Resolution dated 24 July 2018 in A.M. No. 18-07-03-SC (Re: Policy to Entertain Letters Rogatory Only When Coursed Through the Proper Diplomatic Channels), adopted the recommendation of the Office of the Court Administrator (OCA), as concurred in by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), to implement its policy that foreign judicial documents/requests, such as letters rogatory, should only be coursed through the proper diplomatic channels.

In view thereof, all first and second level courts are ENJOINED from giving due course to letters rogatory that were not coursed through the DFA to the OCA, Supreme Court.
