SUBJECT : Importation of Certain Used Motor Vehicles, Parts and Components Regulated by the Department of Trade and Industry thru the Bureau of Import Services (DTI-BIS)

As requested by the Inter-Agency Committee on Used Trucks and Engines (IAC-UTE) Secretariat thru DTI-BIS Director Alexander B. Arcilla and pursuant to the provisions of CB Circular 1389, S. 1993, as amended, please be reminded that the importation of Certain Used Motor Vehicles, Parts and Components, listed in the attached updated Appendix I-D of sad Circular, requires clearance/permit in the form of a Certificate of Authority to Import (CAI) from the DTI-BIS prior to opening of L/Cs.

Please be guided accordingly.
