BANGSAMORO AUTONOMY ACT NO. 87

AN ACT REMOVING THE NONE OF THE ABOVE" OPTION FROM THE

OFFICIAL BALLOT IN THE BANGSAMORO AUTONOMOUS REGION AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION 14, ARTICLE VII OF BANGSAMORO AUTONOMY ACT NO. 35, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE BANGSAMORO ELECTORAL CODE OF 2023"

Be it enacted by the Bangsamoro Transition Authority in Parliament assembled:

"An Act Providing for the Bangsamoro Electoral Code of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim SECTION 1. Section 14, Article VII of Bangsamoro Autonomy Act No. 35, otherwise known as

Mindanao" is hereby amended by transferring Section 14 of Chapter 1 to Chapter 2, Article VII, and making Section 1 of Chapter 2 of Article VII, to read as:

"SECTION. 1. Official Ballot. - The official ballots for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections shall contain the names of the candidates. For political party representatives, it shall include the logos of their respective political parties.

SEC. 2. Revision of the Election Ballot. -- The Commission on Elections, through the Bangsamoro Electoral Office, shall cause the immediate revision of the official ballots for the BARMM parliamentary elections, to ensure that no ballot shall include the "None of the Above " option, pursuant to the removal provided under this Act.

SEC. 3. Separability Clause. -- If any provision of this Act is declared unconstitutional or invalid. the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

SEC. 4. Repealing Clause. -- All laws, decrees, executive orders, rules and regulations, or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly

SEC. 5. Effectivity. - This Act shall take effect immediately upon its publication in the Bangsamoro Gazette or on its official website
