Counterfeit 100-Piso New Design Series Notes

MEMORANDUM TO ALL BANKS Series of 1993

COUNTERFEIT 100-PISO NEW DESIGN SERIES NOTES

The Cash Department has recently confiscated a number of fairly deceptive type of 100-piso NDS notes. Please be guided by its distinguishing features as follows:

1. The paper is of inferior quality, which is smooth to the touch and fluoresces under the ultraviolet (UV) light. It may contain simulated security fibers.

2. The portrait appears dull and lifeless. The eyes are made up of solid mass instead of concentric lines.

3. The lacework designs are composed of lines which are blurred and broken.

4. The serial numbers are printed in red or black. The letters and numerals are irregular in form, not uniform in size and not properly aligned.

5. The shifting of colors is abrupt.

6. The simulated security thread and watermark become very prominent at the back of the note when subjected to UV light. Fluorescent denominational value may also appear in some notes.

7. The vignette appears dark and smudgy due to the merging of lines forming its details.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE YOU TAKE HOLD OF THIS TYPE OF NOTE
