SUBMISSION OF OBSERVATIONS, COMMENTS AND PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPREME COURT EN BANC RESOLUTION DATED OCTOBER 16, 2001 IN A.M. NO. 01-10-5-SC- PHILJA DESIGNATING THE PHILIPPINE JUDICIAL ACADEMY (PHILJA) AS THE COMPONENT UNIT OF THE SUPREME COURT FOR COURT-REFERRED AND COURT-RELATED MEDIATION CASES AND OTHER ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISMS, AND ESTABLISHING THE PHILIPPINE MEDIATION CENTER (PMS) FOR THE PURPOSE
Pursuant to the Supreme Court En Banc Resolution dated October 16, 2001 in Administrative Matter No. 01-10-5-SC-PHILJA (1) designating the Philippine Judiciary Academy (PHILJA) as the component unit of the Supreme Court for court-referred and court-related mediation cases and other alternative dispute resolution mechanism; and (2) establishing the Philippine Mediation Center (PMC) for the mediation as one of the modes of Alternative Dispute Resolution with the end in view of reducing docket congestion.
In order to improve court services and to address concerns that the Office of the Court Adminstrator and other court stakeholders may have with respect to the duties and responsibilities assigned to the judges and clerks of courts in the implementation of mediation, you are hereby directed to submit to this Office not later than July 31, 2006 your observations and comments on as well as problems encountered in the implementation of mediation.
