Subject : Mandatory Information in the Export Declaration
For your information and guidance, attached is a copy of Resolution No. 2 of the Export Development Council (EDC), series of 1998, on captioned subject, signed by the Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry.
The Resolution requires that “boxes 33(Harmonized System Code),40(Previous Document No./s) and 46(FOB Value of Imported Raw Materials) of the Export Declaration be accomplished by the exporters when submitting the document for export processing. Boxes 1(Declaration), 29(Port and Date of Departure) and 37(Customs Procedure Code) shall remain optional until ruled otherwise.”
Please inform your exporter-clients accordingly.
