SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO YEARS (2) YEARS AND REVOCATION OF NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND PERMANENTLY BARRED FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC OF ATTY. REYMAN A. SOLBITA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of Court En Banc dated 8 March 2016 in Administrative Case No. 8840, entitled "Spouses Eduardo G. Gacuya and Caridad Rosario Gacuya vs. Atty. Reyman A. Solbita," to wit:

WHEREFORE, this Court ADOPTS the findings of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Commission on the Bar Discipline, but hereby MODIFIES the penalty recommended by the Board of Governors. The notarial commission of Atty. Reyman A. Solbita, if still existing, is hereby REVOKED, and he is PERMANENTLY BARRED from being commissioned as notary public, effective upon receipt of the copy of this decision. He is also SUSPENDED from the practice of law for a period of two (2) years "effective immediately, with a WARNING that a repetition of a similar violation will be dealt with even more severely. He is DIRECTED to report the date of his receipt of this Decision to enable this Court to determine when his suspension shall take effect.
