TO:    ALL THRIFT BANKS

SUBJECT: PUBLICATION OF STATEMENT OF CONDITION AS OF 17 DECEMBER 2002

Pursuant to Section 61 of Republic Act No. 8791, “The General Banking Law of 2000”, a call is hereby made for the publication of your institution of its quarterly Consolidated Statement of Condition (for the bank and its subsidiaries and affiliates to be published side by side with the statement of condition of the head office and its branches/offices) as of December 17, 2002, in accordance with the revised form (TB Form 4) and the instruction for the accomplishment contained under Circular Letter to All Thrift Banks dated July 15, 1991, as amended by Circular No. 1339 and 208 dated May 18, 1992 and August 17, 1999, respectively, Memorandum to All Banks dated November 29, 1999, Circular No. 339 dated July 18, 2002 and Circular Letter dated October 22, 2002.  Said Consolidated Statement of Condition shall be published in any newspaper of general circulation in the city/province where the principal office is located, but if no newspaper is published in the same province, then in a newspaper published in Metro Manila or in the nearest city/province.

The original copy of the Consolidated Statement of Condition (TB Form 4) shall be submitted to the appropriate supervising and examination department before publication within twelve (12) banking days from receipt of this call.

A copy of the Consolidated Statement of Condition, together with the publisher’s certificate, shall also be submitted to the appropriate supervising and examining department within twenty (20) banking days from receipt of this call.

This Circular Letter shall take effect immediately.
