SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. IGMEDIO S. PRADO, JR. FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS

For your information and guidance ; quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 18 April 2016 of the Third Division in Administrative Case No. 7447, entitled "Rene B. Hermano v. Atty. Igmedio S. Prado, Jr.," to wit:

WHEREFORE, the Court finds respondent Atty. Igmedio S. Prado, Jr. GUILTY of violation of Canon 16, Rule 16.01, Canons 17 and 18, Rules 18.02, 18.03 and 18.04 of the Code of Professional Responsibility. Accordingly, the Court SUSPENDS him from the practice of law for six (6) months effective upon finality of this Decision and ORDERS him to return the amount of P 25,000.00 to complainant Rene B. Hermano for legal services he failed to render within thirty (30) days from receipt of this Decision. He is further WARNED that a repetition of the same or similar offense shall be dealt with more severely.

Respondent received the Resolution dated 5 October 2016 on 9 December 2016.
