WARNING AGAINST SUBMISSION OF FORGED TEST CERTIFICATES BY APPLICANTS UNDER THE SPECIFIED SKILLED WORKER SYSTEM
OF JAPAN
It has come to the attention of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) that worker-applicants for the status of residence "Specified Skilled Worker (SSW)" have reportedly faked passing their skills tests by submitting forged certificates, particularly in the field of agriculture.
The DMW hereby warns all applicants for overseas employment, including the SsW applicants, that submitting, furnishing, or using falsified documents or employing any other forms of misrepresentation for job application or employment is considered a serious offense and is a ground for disciplinary action with the corresponding penalty under Section 141, 1.A. and 2.g., Rule III, Part VI of the DMW Rules and Regulations Governing the Recruitment and Employment of Landbased Overseas Filipino Workers 2023. It may also result in visa denial, revocation of the status of residence, deportation, or blacklisting under Japanese law.
All Overseas Filipino Workers are reminded of their responsibility to conduct themselves in the most responsible manner as job applicants, including their obligation to provide the licensed recruitment agency and principal/employer with accurate statements/certifications regarding their skill, experience, and other qualifications
The public is further advised to transact only with authorized entities and to report any individuals or groups offering fraudulent documentation or illegal facilitation when applying for overseas employment.
