SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. RUFINO B. BANAS FROM BEING GRANTED NOTARIAL COMMISSION FOR TWO (2) YEARS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 4 October 2017 of the Third Division in Administrative Case No. 10056, entitled "Victor L. Mejia, Complainant v. Atty. Rufino B. Banas, Respondent," to wit:

WHEREFORE, the Court SUSPENDS respondent Atty. Rufino B. Banas from being granted a notarial commission for a period of two (2) years effective immediately, with a warning that any future breach of his duties as a notary public will be dealt with more severely.

Per Registry Return Receipt No. 15159, respondent, thru Erlinda Banas, received a copy of the aforesaid Resolution on 20 December 2017.
