SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR THREE (3) MONTHS OF ATTY. RENATO C. BAGAY

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution of the Second Division dated 20 July 2015 in Administrative Case No. 8103 (Report of Atty. Aurelio C. Angeles, Jr., Provincial Legal Officer, Bataan Capitol, Balanga City, Bataan vs. Atty. Renato C. Bagay), to wit:

Considering the compliances dated 19 January 2015 and 19 June 2015 by respondent Atty. Renato C. Bagay, stating that he received a copy of the Decision dated 3 December 2014 (which ordered his suspension from the practice of law for three [3] months effective immediately and the revocation of his notarial commission and disqualification from being commissioned as a notary public for two [2] years) on 16 January 2015, and submitting certifications issued by different courts in Balanga, Bataan, and certification dated 18 June 2015 from the IBP Bataan Chapter, all affirming that respondent has desisted from appearing in any court in Bataan or from filing any pleading from 16 January 2015 to 17 April 2015; that based on the records and documents submitted, respondent has fully served the three (3) months suspension from the practice of law from 16 January 2015 to 17 April 2015, and it appearing however that, as regards respondent's disqualification from being commissioned as a notary public, respondent has to serve the same until 16 January 2017, the Court resolves to LIFT the Order of Suspension from the practice of law against respondent Atty. Renato C. Bagay, and to ALLOW him to RESUME his practice of law. Respondent is likewise required, after he has fully served the order of disqualification from being commissioned as notary public, to file sworn statement with certifications from the IBP Bataan Chapter and the Office of the Executive Judge of the courts of Balanga, Bataan, that he has not been commissioned as notary public from 16 January 2015 to 17 January 2017.
