SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. STANLEY R. CABRERA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the Third Division dated July 2, 2008, in Administrative Case No. 6907, entitled "Ferdinand A. Cruz vs. Atty. Stanley R.Cabrera", to wit:

"Acting on the complaint against respondent, the Court further resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law and recommendation of the Investigating Commissioner in the attached Report and Recommendation dated 29 January 2008 as approved with modification by the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in its Board Resolution No. XVIII-2008-82 dated 06 February 2008. Accordingly, respondent is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for six (6) months for violation of Canon 8, Rule 8.01 of the Code of Professional Responsibility for using uncalled for and inappropriate, deplorable and unprofessional remarks in his pleadings."

Respondent received the order of suspension on August 8, 2008.

The respondent's Motion for Reconsideration of the Resolution dated 02 July 2008 which suspended him from the practice of law for six (6) months was DENIED with FINALITY, as no substantial matter were raised to warrant reconsideration thereof pursuant to the Resolution of the Third Division dated 29 September 2008.
