DIRECTING THE PARTICIPATION OF SELECT EMPLOYEES TO ATTEND THE "GENDER SENSITIVITY TRAINING"

The Employee Training and Development Division, Office of Administrative Services will conduct a training program entitled "Gender Sensitivity Training" at the SC Training Center on March 11, 2015.

The eight (8) hours "Gender Sensitivity Training" is being conducted to build the capacities of Court personnel to become more gender-sensitive in their dealings with the public, such that the Judiciary will remain competent, impartial and objective regardless of the gender preferences of its clients.

Specifically, the training aims to: - discuss basic gender concepts - distinguish gender sensitive from insensitive issues - recognize gender-related problems -demonstrate appropriate gender sensitive behavior - explain the difference between gender sensitivity and gender insensitivity in case examples given - describe how gender sensitivity may be applied in the workplace and in their personal lives
