SUBJECT:

ARMM JUDICIAL REFORM PROJECT

The rule of Law Effectiveness Program (ROLE) will conduct a focus group discussion among the judges of the Regional Trial Courts in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanaoon March 24, 2006 in Davao City. The following judges are directed to attend that said focus group discussion:

Hon. Hadjirasul M. Pacauhndas - RTC, Brach 10, Marawi City

Hon. Rasad G. Balindong - RTC, Branch 12, Malabang

The purposes of the focus group discussion are: 1) gain an in-depth understanding of the issues and problems in the administration of justice in the ARMM system; 2) to provide ROLE with information as to the type of training and skills that the ARMM court personnel need to enable them to perform their duties more effectively; and 3) to provide for an opportunity for ROLE to introduce their projects and activities for easier coordination between the ARMM courts and ROLE.

The details of the focus group discussion shall be provided by the staff of ROLE.

The attendance of the above named judges in the said activity shall be on OFFICIAL TIME but they should see to it that their respective court calendars are properly managed and the parties are notified in advance of any cancelled hearing.
