AN ACT TO INSERT A NEW SECTION IN ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY, TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY-SIX AND A HALF.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. A new section is hereby inserted between sections three hundred and ninety-six and three hundred and ninety-seven of Act Numbered One hundred and ninety which shall read as follows:
"SEC. 396i. Copy of service of summons to be sent to plaintiff. — It shall be the duty of the sheriff, within the ten days next following the service of the summons, to give notice thereof by registered mail to the plaintiff or his counsel."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect forty days after publication in the Official Gazette.
