SUBJECT : DISBARMENT OF ATTY. DANIEL B. LIANGCO

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of the Court En Banc dated 13 December 2011, in Administrative Case No. 5355, entitled "Office of the Court Administrator vs. Atty. Daniel B. Liangco", to wit:

"WHEREFORE, this Court resolves to DISBAR Atty. Daniel B. Liangco for the following offenses:

1. GROSS MISCONDUCT in violation of Canon 1, Sections 4 and 5 of the New Code of Judicial Conduct for the Philippine Judiciary.

2. INEXCUSABLE IGNORANCE OF THE LAW in violation of Canon 1 and 10, Rule 10.03 of the Code of Professional Responsibility."

In a Resolution dated 7 February 2012, the Court DENIED the respondent's motion for reconsideration as no substantial arguments were presented to warrant the reversal of the questioned Decision.
