Subject: Spurious Bonded Warehouse Receipts
All Banks are advised against fraudulent practices such as the reported existence of fake bonded warehouse and safekeeping receipts allegedly warehousing or safekeeping certain metric tons of gold.
The Manila Banking Corporation - A Thrift Bank disclaims having issued the following spurious documents allegedly warehousing or safekkeping 600 metric tons of gold valued at US$7.75 Billion at its Cagayan de Oro Branc:
Bonded Warehouse Receipt No. 005-25 for 500 Metric Tons (6,750 bars) of Au/Gold bars amounting to US6.5 Billion
Safekeeping Receipt No. 00819 for 100 Metric Tons of Gold Bars/Au Metals amounting to US1.25 Billion
Attached are photocopies of the spurious documents for your information and guidance. Please report to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and to the law enforcement agencies of the government any transactio relativeto these documents.
