SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION/DISQUALIFICATION FROM BEING COMMISSIONED AS NOTARY PUBLIC OF ATTY. PATERNO S. GUEVARRA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 8 March 2017 of the Third Division in Administrative Case No. 10981, entitled "Office of the Bar Confidant v. Atty. Paterno S. Guevarra," to wit:

The Court resolves to NOTE respondent's:

(1) Motion for Early Resolution (with attached annexes) dated January 8, 2017; and

(2) Letter (undated) addressed to Atty. Misael Domingo C. Battung III, Deputy Division Clerk of Court, Third Division, asking whether or not he can file his notarial commission with the Regional Trial Court (RTC) as the instant case has not yet been recommended for evaluation, report and recommendation.

Acting on the Report and Recommendation dated January 18, 2017 of the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC), on the motion for early resolution filed by respondent, the Court, upon the recommendation of the OBC, further resolves to NOTE and APPROVE the Order of February 9, 2016 issued by Executive Judge Divina Luz Aquino-Simbulan, RTC, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, which lifted the six months suspension of the notarial commission of respondent; and LIFT the order of suspension/disqualification of Atty. Paterno S. Guevarra from being commissioned as notary public.

The said report and recommendation of the OBC is NOTED .

Case is considered CLOSED and TERMINATED.
