SUBJECT : DISBARMENT OF ATTY. REX A. RESUENA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of the Court En Banc dated 26 January 2016 in Administrative Case No. 8723, entitled "Gregory Fabay v. Atty. Rex A. Resuena", to wit:

WHEREFORE, Atty. Rex A. Resuena is found GUILTY of malpractice as a notary public, and of violating the lawyer's oath as well as Rule 1.01, Canon 1 of the Code of Professional Responsibility. Accordingly, he is DISBARRED from the practice of law and likewise PERPETUALLY DISQUALIFIED from being commissioned as a notary public.

In a Resolution dated 5 April 2016, the Court DENIED with FINALITY the respondent's motion for reconsideration.
