SUBJECT: LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. RICARDO C. PILARES, JR.

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 8 March 2017 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 10664, entitled "Arty. Thelma A. Jader-Manalo v. Atty. Ricardo Pilares, Jr.," to wit:

Acting on the respondent Atty. Ricardo Pilares, Jr.'s (a) petition for formal lifting of suspension dated 1 December 2016 alleging that he served the six-month suspension from 21 March 2016 to 21 September 2016 and submitting certifications from the different Courts of Quezon City and Makati City, that he has not appeared before these courts as counsel from 21 March 2016 to 21 September 2016, and (b) manifestation with respectful motion to resolve dated 24 January 2014, praying for the issuance of a formal resolution for the lifting of his suspension and submitting a Certification dated 13 January 2017 from the Assistant and Acting Clerk of Court, Regional Trial Court, Quezon City and Resolution dated 5 December 2016 of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Quezon City Chapter, manifesting no objection to, and endorsing the reinstatement of Atty. Pilares, Jr. to practice of law, and considering that per Office of the Bar Confidant's record, the Resolution dated 27 January 2016 which suspended from the practice for six (6) months, effective immediately upon receipt of this resolution was received by respondent on 21 March 2016, hence, his suspension commenced on 21 March 2016 and ended on 21 September 2016, the Court resolves to LIFT the order of suspension from the practice of law imposed on respondent Atty. Ricardo C. Pilares, Jr. and ALLOW him to RESUME his practice of law.
