SUBJECT: SUSPENSION OF ATTY. DIOSDADO B. JIMENEZ FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 28 November 2016 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 9880, entitled "Wilson Chua v. Atty. Diosdado B. Jimenez," to wit:

WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Diosdado B. Jimenez is found GUILTY of violation of the Code of Professional Responsibility and the Lawyer's Oath and is hereby SUSPENDED from the practice of law for six (6) months and ORDERED to return to complainant within ten (10) days from notice all the pertinent records and documents, and the amounts of P100,000.00; £23,000.00; P13,653.50; another P13,653.5O; and P15.000.00, or a total of P165.127.00 with interest of 12% per annum reckoned from the respective date of receipt until June 30, 2013, and 6% per annum from July 1, 2013 until full payment. Respondent is WARNED that commission of the same or similar infraction in the future will merit a more . severe penalty. Respondent is also directed to submit proof of his compliance within 30 days from receipt of this Decision.

Let copies of this Decision be furnished the Office of the Bar Confidant to be entered in the personal records of respondent and the Office of the Court Administrator for dissemination to all courts.

As per Registry Return Receipt No. 30758, respondent received a copy of the aforesaid Decision on 28 September 2017.
