SUBJECT: SUSPENSION OF ATTY. BENJAMIN M. YAMBAO FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS AND REVOCATION OF HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 22 November 2017 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 7689, entitled "George S. Imperial v. Atty. Benjamin M. Yambao," to wit:

WHEREFORE, we find Atty. Benjamin M. Yambao GUILTY of violating the Notarial Law and the Code of Professional Responsibility. Accordingly, the Court hereby SUSPENDS him from the practice of law for SIX (6) MONTHS; REVOKES his incumbent commission as a notary public, if any; and DISQUALIFIES him from being commissioned as a notary public for ONE (1) YEAR, effective upon his receipt of this Resolution.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Office of the Bar Confidant, to be appended to respondent's personal record as attorney. Likewise, copies shall be furnished to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and all courts in the country for their information and guidance.

As per Registry Return Receipt No. 19566, respondent received a copy of the aforesaid Resolution, without indicating the date of receipt hereof.
