SUBJECT: ADMONITION OF ATTY. DANTE G. ILAYA AND REVOCATION OF HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC FOR ONE (1) YEAR
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 11 April 2018 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 7857, entitled "Ranilo M. Arceo, et al. v. Atty. Dante G. Ilaya," to wit:
WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Dante G. Ilaya is ADMONISHED to be more circumspect and diligent in his compliance with the 2004 Rules on Notarial Practice. Respondent's notarial commission, if any, is ordered immediately REVOKED; and PROHIBITS him from being commissioned as a notary public for one year, effective immediately. He is WARNED that a repetition of the same or similar acts in the future shall be dealt with more severely.
Let all courts, through the Office of the Court Administrator, as well as the IBP and the Office of the Bar Confidant, be notified of this Resolution and be it entered into respondent's personal record.
The letter dated September 5, 2017 of Director Marlou B. Ubano, Integrated Bar of the Philippines' Commission on Bar Discipline, in compliance with the Resolution dated July 3, 2017, informing the Court that the corresponding report and recommendation submitted by the Investigating Commissioner was already deliberated upon by the Board of Governors on September 24, 2016 and the Extended Resolution was approved for release on April 19, 2017, is NOTED .
As per Registry Return Receipt No. 68410, respondent received a copy of the aforesaid Resolution on 26 July 2018.
