SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. ULYSSES M. ROSAL FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 21 June 2017 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 9202, entitled "Bayani G. Cuevas v. Atty. Ulysses M. Rosal," to wit:

The Court further resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the Notice of Resolution No. XXI-2015-291 dated April 18, 2015 and the Notice of Resolution No. XXII-2016-551 dated September 24, 2016 of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Board of Governors (Annexes A & B). Accordingly, respondent Atty. Ulysses M. Rosal is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one (1) year for his violation of Rules 1.01 and 1.02 of Canon 1 of the Code of Professional Responsibility effective from notice and is ORDERED to RETURN the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) to complainant within thirty (30) days from notice.

As per Registry Return Receipt No. 3898, respondent, thru Reymond Rosal, received a copy of Resolution dated 21 June 2017 on 25 July 2017.
