SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR THREE (3) MONTHS OF ATTY. NANCY QUIMPO

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution of the First Division dated June 17, 2015 in Administrative Case No. 6128 (Rosemarie L Hsieh vs. Attys. Salvador Quimpo and Nancy Quimpo), to wit:

Considering the affidavit dated April 6, 2015 of respondent Atty. Nancy Quimpo stating that she has fully served her three-month suspension and has ceased and desisted from the practice of law from January 25, 2007 to April 25, 2007, and attaching therewith certifications from the Executive Judge and the Branch Clerk of Court of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 128, Caloocan City, and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines CALMANA Chapter, all stating that she has ceased and desisted from the practice of law and has npt appeared in court as counsel during such period, the Court resolves:

(1) to NOTE the aforesaid affidavit;

(2) to LIFT the order of suspension of respondent Atty. Nancy Quimpo, and to ALLOW her to RESUME her practice of law; and

(3) to require Atty. Salvador Quimpo to FILE his sworn statement with certifications from the courts where he practices his legal profession and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Local Chapter where he is affiliated with, showing that he has fully served the three-month suspension from the practice of law, as mandated in the Decision dated December 19, 2006, within ten (10) days from notice hereof.
