SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. JOJO S. VIJIGA FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 22 November 2017 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 11828, entitled "Spouses Vicente and Precywinda Gimena v. Atty. Jojo S. Vijiga," to wit:
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, respondent Atty. Jojo S. Vijiga is SUSPENDED FOR SIX (6) MONTHS from the practice of law with a warning that a repetition of the same or similar acts shall be dealt with more severely. He is ADMONISHED to exercise greater care and diligence in the performance of his duties.
Per Registry Return Receipt No. 6153, respondent received a copy of the aforesaid Decision on 30 January 2018. Despite receipt, respondent did not file his motion for reconsideration.
