SUBJECT: LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. ALFEO T. SICCUAN AND PERMANENTLY DISQUALIFIED FROM BEING COMMISSIONED AS NOTARY PUBLIC

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 20 February 2019 of the Special Third Division in Administrative Case No. 11640, entitled "Allan F. Salazar vs. Atty. Alfeo T. Siccuan," to wit:

The Court NOTES :

(1) the Report and Recommendation dated October 10, 2018 of the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) on respondent's Sworn Statement dated September 24, 2018 claiming that he desisted from the practice of law and has never appeared in any Court and likewise desisted from being a Notary Public during the period from March 17, 2018 up to the present;

(2) respondent's Sworn Statement dated September 24, 2018, addressed to the OBC, stating that he has desisted from the practice of law and has never appeared in any Court during the period from March 17, 2018 up to the present, and desisted from being a Notary Public in compliance with the March 17, 2018 Resolution, with 1 st Indorsement dated October 9, 2018 of the Office of the Court Administrator, referring to the Clerk of Court, Third Division, the said letter for appropriate action; and

(3) respondent's Motion to Lift Suspension dated October 22, 2018, submitting certifications dated October 11, 2018 and October 18, 2018 from the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 90, of Dasmarinas City, Cavite and IBP Cavite Chapter, that respondent Atty. Alfeo T. Siccuan has never appeared before the said RTC and the Offices of the City and Provincial Prosecutor of Cavite, respectively, from March 17, 2018 up to the present and praying that his suspension from the practice of law be lifted.

Acting on the Report and Recommendation dated November 8, 2018 of the OBC relative to respondent's motion to lift suspension, stating that based on records and documents submitted, respondent has fully served the six (6)-month suspension from the practice of law from March 17, 2018 to the present, the Court, upon the recommendation of the OBC, resolves to LIFT the order of suspension meted against respondent and ALLOW him to RESUME his practice of law. However, the order of his perpetual disqualification from being commissioned as notary public still remained effective.

The said report and recommendation of the OBC is NOTED .

Case is considered CLOSED and TERMINATED .
