SUBJECT : DISBARMENT OF ATTY. LEOVIGILDO H. MIJARES III

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 20 November 2009 of the Court En Banc in Administrative Case No. 8380, entitled "Arellano University, Inc. v. Atty. Leovigildo H. Mijares III," to wit:

WHEREFORE, the Court finds respondent Leovigildo H. Mijares III, a member of the Bar, GUILTY of violation of Rules 1.01 and 1.02, Canon 15, Rule 15.05, Canon 16, Rules 16.01 and 16.03, and Canon 18, Rule 18.04 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and imposes on him the penalty of DISBARMENT. He is, in addition, directed to return to complainant Arellano University, Inc. all documents in his possession covering the titling matter that it referred to him.

Respondent received the resolution on 2 December 2009.
