SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. ARTEMIO F. BUSTAMANTE AND REVOCATION HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC FOR ONE (1) YEAR.

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of the Third Division dated December 20, 2007, in Administrative Case No. 5510 entitled, "Sajid D. Agagon vs. Atty. Artemio F. Bustamante", to wit:

"WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Artemio F. Bustamante is GUILTY of violating the Notarial Law, the 2004 Rule on Notarial Practice and the Code of Professional Responsibility. His notarial commission, if still existing, is hereby REVOKED, and he is DISQUALIFIED from reappointment as Notary Public for a period of one (1) year. He is likewise, SUSPENDED from the practice of law for six (6) months effective immediately. He is DIRECTED to report the date of his receipt of this Decision to enable this Court to determine when his suspension shall take effect."

Respondent received the order of suspension on 9 January 2008 as stated in his Compliance, dated 10, January 2008.
