SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. GABRIEL FRANCISCO A. RAMIREZ, JR. FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR THREE (3) MONTHS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 1 July 2009 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 6287, entitled "Office of the Solicitor General v. Atty. Francisco A. Ramirez, Jr.," to wit:

The Court resolves to NOTE Notice of Resolution No. XVIII-2008-692 dated 11 December 2008 of the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines which adopted and approved the report and recommendation of the Board of Governor's 1 st Division which denied with modification respondent's motion for reconsideration and affirmed Resolution No. XVII-2006-221 dated 27 April 2006 and reduced the suspension of respondent Atty. Gabriel Francisco A. Ramirez, Jr. to three (3) months instead of one year, transmitted by letter dated 20 April 2009 of Director Alicia Risos-Vidal, Integrated Bar of the Philippines Commission on Bar Discipline, together with the records of the case.

The Court further resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the aforesaid Resolution No. XVIII-2008-692 and accordingly SUSPENDS respondent from the practice of law for a period of three (3) months from notice hereof.

Respondent received the Resolution dated 1 July 2009 on 14 August 2009.
