AUTHORIZING THE OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF THE PHILIPPINE WOMEN JUDGES ASSOCIATION, INC (PWJA) TO ATTEND THE BARANGAY WORKSHOP-SEMINAR ON SEXTORTION ON APRIL 28 AND 29, 2011 AT THE HIYAS NG BULACAN PAVILLON, CAPITOL COMPOUND, MALOLOS CITY, BULACAN
The Philippine Women Judges Association (PWJA) will hold a Barangay Seminar-Workshop to disseminate the Anti-Sextortion Toolkit, a step-by-step guide on how to deal with and process cases of Sextortion, which was developed by the PWJA in coordination with the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) with the support of the MDG3 Fund of Netherlands. Sextortion is the term used to describe the abuse of power or authority to extract sex or for sexual exploitation.
The barangay officials in Bulacan, prosecutors, representatives from the Women's and Children's Police Desk (WCPD) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and selected government and non-governmental organizations will attend the said activity to make them aware of sextortion issues and be properly equipped on how to deal with sextortion cases.
A half-day Facilitators Orientation Workshop will be held on April 28, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to train the PWJA members to perform multiple roles of resource person, chief facilitator, small group facilitator and practicum actor during the Seminar-Workshop, which will be held the following day, on April 29, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Pavilion, Capitol Compound, Malolos City, Bulacan.
In connection therewith, the following PWJA officers, members and selected court personnel are hereby authorized to be in Malolos City, Bulacan on April 28 and 29, 2011, to wit:
