SUBJECT:

CONDUCT OF FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSIONS FOR THE NATIONAL SURVEY ON USERS' EXPERIENCE AND PERCEPTION ON THE JUDICIARY

The Supreme Court has contracted the SAGRIC International Pty. Ltd. Tyo undertake the National Survey on Users' Experience and Perception on the Judiciary. This survey aims to generate current data from the sample of persons all over the country on their level of satisfaction of the courts' performance and their confidence in the Judiciary. The data will be used as the baseline performance indicator from which the impact of the reform program will be measured.

Part of the survey activities is the conduct of Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with selected judges which will provide more insights on the results of the survey. The Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) will be utilized to:

Substantiate survey analysis by allowing the researchers to see how the people interact given a topic.

Capture the attitudes and behaviors to certain issues that are considered socially unacceptable and difficult to obtain in a structured one-on-one interview.

Provide a more in-depth understanding of the satisfaction and confidence of court users.

In this regard, the following judges are hereby authorized to attend the FGD to be conducted by Sagric International to be held on March 24, 2006 at Garden Oasis, Obrero, Davao City from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon on OFFICIAL TIME, to wit:
