TO : ALL TRIAL COURT JUDGES IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU

SUBJECT : PUBLIC HEARING/DIALOGUE ON HOUSE BILL NOS. 2032 AND 2300 (THE PROPOSED CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION ACT AND PHILIPPINE CODE OF CRIMES) ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2013 AT THE HOTEL ELIZABETH, CEBU CITY

The Committee on Justice of the House of Representatives and the Department of Justice will conduct a public hearing/dialogue on House Bill Nos. 2032 and 2300 (the proposed Criminal Investigation Act and Philippine Code of Crimes) on September 20, 2013 at the Hotel Elizabeth, Archbishop Reyes Avenue, Camputhaw, Cebu City, and has requested that an invitation be extended to the trial judges based in the Province of Cebu.

As requested therefore, all trial court judges in the Province of Cebu are hereby authorized to attend the hearing/dialogue, on OFFICIAL TIME/BUSINESS, chargeable to local funds if authorized and available, provided that their court calendars are properly managed and that the parties are notified of any cancelled hearings. Please be reminded however that House Bill Nos. 2032 and 2300, and the consequent law that may arise from them, may later be questioned before the Supreme Court.

The Committee on Justice Secretariat of the House of Representatives is requested to submit a complete list of all the judges who attended the hearing/dialogue to the Court Management Office, Office of the Court Administrator, within ten (10) days from the conclusion thereof.
