RE: :ATTENDANCE IN THE EIGHTH REGIONAL SEMINAR UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE PHILIPPINE JUDICIAL ACADEMY

Pursuant to the provisions of Article VIII, Section 6, of the 1987 Constitution and Section 3 of Republic Act No. 8557, all Judges, Clerks of Court, Branch Clerks of Court, Legal Researchers and Sheriffs of the First and Second Level Trial Court of Sixth Judicial Region were designated participants in the Eighth Regional Seminar under the auspices of the Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA), which was held from October 8 to 10, 2001 (Monday to Wednesday), at the Bacolod Convention Plaza, Bacolod City.

Judges were directed to leave a skeletal force in their respective courts during the Regional Seminar. Attendance in this live-in Seminar was MANDATORY.

Due to inadvertence, the Chief Justice was unable to forthwith issue a circular for this purpose. Accordingly, the Chief Justice hereby confirms the attendance of the above mentioned participants on official business chargeable against the budget set aside in Memorandum Order No. 02-2000 dated 12 April 2000.

All communications relating to this Program shall be addressed to Hon. Ameurfina M. Herrera, PHILJA Chancellor, 3rd Floor, Supreme Court (Taft Avenue Building), Padre Faura, Manila.

The effectivity of this Administrative Circular shall retroact to 8 October 2001.
