SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. MERCEDES BUHAYANG-MARGALLO FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO (2) YEARS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 3 February 2015 of the Court En Banc in Administrative Case No. 10537, entitled " Reynaldo G. Ramirez v. Atty. Mercedes Buhayang-Margallo," to wit:

WHEREFORE, the Petition for Review is DENIED. The Recommendation and Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines dated March 21, 2014 is ACCEPTED, ADOPTED AND AFFIRMED. Atty. Mercedes Buhayang-Margallo is hereby SUSPENDED from the practice of law for two (2) years, with a stern warning that a repetition of the same or similar act shall be dealt with more severely. This decision is immediately executory.

In a Resolution dated 7 July 2015, the Court DENIED with FINALITY the respondent's Motion for Reconsideration there being no substantial matters raised to warrant its consideration.
