SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. JUVY MELL SANCHEZ-MALIT AND REVOCATION OF HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND PERPETUAL DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the En Banc Resolution dated 08 July 2014 in Administrative Case No. 6470, entitled "Mercedita De Jesus v. Atty. Juvy Mell Sanchez-Malit," to wit:

WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Juvy Mell Sanchez-Ma I i.t is found guilty of violating Canon 1 and Rules 1.01, 1.02, 10.01 of the Code of Professional Responsibility as well as her oath as notary public. Hence, she is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for ONE YEAR effective immediately. Her notarial commission, if still existing, is IMMEDIATELY REVOKED and she is hereby PERPETUALLY DISQUALIFIED from being commissioned as a notary public.

In a Resolution dated 18 November 2014, the Court further DENIED WITH FINALITY the respondent's motion for reconsideration as the issues raised therein have been passed upon by the Court and no substantial arguments were raised to warrant the reversal of the questioned Resolution.
