SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) MONTH OF ATTY. EDGARDO S. ARIAS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the decision of the Third Division dated April 13, 2007, in Administrative Case No. 1666 entitled, "Luisito Balatbat vs. Atty. Edgardo Arias y Sanchez", to wit:

"CONSIDERING THE FOREGOING , for violation of the Code of Professional Responsibility, respondent Atty. Edgardo Arias y Sanchez is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for One (1) month. He is STERNLY WARNED that a repetition of the same or similar act in the future shall be dealt with more severely. He is likewise DIRECTED to report the date of his receipt,of this Decision to enable the Court to determine when his suspension shall have taken effect."

Copy of the decision was received by a certain Tony Obusa on May 18, 2007 per Registry Return Receipt No. 43011 and respondent did not file any motion for reconsideration.
